After working as a designer, manager, and buyer for a large firm for 21 years Bill opened his own interior design company, Bill McMillin Interiors Ltd., in 1989. Although the majority of our work is in the Baton Rouge area, we have completed projects in 7 states. Our projects are residential, and also include numerous second homes mostly beach houses, mountain retreats, and hunting lodges. The interiors we design consistently surpass client's expectations which is why a substantial portion of our business involves new projects for existing clients, their families and friends as well as new clients.

We are known for our use of color in timeless traditional designs with attention to clients needs, wishes, and comfort. We shun fads, trendy looks, and looking over decorated. Besides Bill's 35 years of experience, the firm has many accumulated years from a professional staff dedicated with Bill to ensure each project is "Simply the Best".

Because of Bill's 38 years of associations we have the best vendors for fabric, furniture and accessories as well as 25 years of finding the best resources for antiques in Europe. We have formed alliances with the best team of painters, wallpaper & carpet installers, upholsterers, refinishers, and drapery workrooms. It's all these resources and our attention to every detail that continues our success with current and future clients. We've formed a solid team to give our clients the best value, service, and creative design.

We are a full service firm carrying all our own furniture, fabric, wallpaper, and accessory lines in house. We buy directly from the manufacturers only to give our clients the best prices. Our drapery workrooms fabricate the finest window treatments & bedcoverings. We accessorize each project and custom mix the paint colors. On new construction we work with the architect and contractors to make sure the plan works for our client. We check room sizes by doing floor plans and checking the electrical and lighting. We also assist in selection of tile, stone, hardware, plumbing fixtures, and lighting.

We support our community and give back thru numerous charity donations. We are a regular sponsor of Prevent Child Abuse Louisiana and a continuous supporter of Hospice of Baton Rouge particularly in all the designer showhomes. We are a generous supporter of Junior League of Baton Rouge, Red Cross, La. Arts & Science Museum, Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, Baton Rouge Cancer Society, and many more.
